Line Striping
A fresh looking parking lot is vital for safety and efficient parking outside businesses. The ADA requires businesses to provide handicap stalls and general parking to certain criteria and standards for parking lots, thereby improving the overall safety for pedestrians, drivers and visitors; as well as enhancing your overall appearance as a business, after all “appearance is everything” and amounts to more sales and revenue flow. James Kurpiel Inc. can restripe your parking lot based on its existing layout or we can work with you to design a new and more efficient ADA Compliant striping layout.
Our Line Striping / Parking Lot Services are inclusive of but not limited to:
- New parking stall striping
- Restiping existing lots
- ADA approved stalls and stencils
- Word and Number Stenciling
- Directional Arrows
- Parking Bumpers
- Curbing
- Blocking out old markings
- Parking Bumpers / Speed Bumps Installation
COMMERCIAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
If you have a commercial, business, medical center, or multi-family property, you know that providing a safe parking lot is an essential part of building maintenance. Not only does this mean making sure pot holes and buckled sections of asphalt are repaired, you also want to have clearly marked, accurate lines so those using your lot can park in a safe and orderly manner, while being ADA Compliant.
An example of a commercial asphalt line striping project completed by Kurpiel Inc. of Hackensack shows a newly applied layout.

Car stops, otherwise known as wheel stops or parking blocks, are simple blocking mechanisms that are meant to stop a vehicle from rolling forward when parked in a certain area. Car stops are similar to speed bumps in the way that they are made, but they are usually taller and they have steeper sides. Speed bumps are meant to be driven over, but car stops are meant to actually prevent a car from moving. Car stops come in recycled plastic, rubber, or concrete.

A bollard is a short post designed to guide traffic and protect from vehicle intrusions. Bollards can be manufactured and installed to withstand significant vehicle impacts, but they can also be used as visual barriers. Many bollards also contribute decorative elements to complement building and landscape designs. Ask us about your bollard options!

For some of our customers rubber speed bumps are too temporary. They need something that will last a very long time. That is when we recommend asphalt speed bumps, or concrete speed bumps. These are the heavy duty alternatives to the less costly rubber alternative. Some customers will even use the rubber speed bumps as a test first before taking the chance of installing something more permanent. Remember that newly installed speed bumps sometimes have unforeseen consequences. Always speak with an engineer or parking lot professional before implementing speed bump installations

James Kurpiel Inc. completely and professionally sealcoated and re-striped my medical facility’s parking lot over a three day holiday weekend. The results were amazing and the appearance is stunning. Highly recommend this firm.
The pavement and lot in front of our loading docks takes a pounding. We hired James Kurpiel Inc. to come in a do some saw-cut patching on the worst areas and coating on the others. Excellent workmanship and product.
