Sealmaster Crackmaster Supreme Description

CrackMaster™ Supreme is a single component, hot-applied, rubberized asphalt crack and joint sealant. CrackMaster™ Supreme is specially formulated for both direct fire and oil-jacketed melters. It is heat stabilized to withstand temperatures up to 450°F without experiencing polymer degredation. When melted and properly applied it forms a resilient crack sealant for both asphaltic and cementatious pavements. CrackMaster™ Supreme meets manufacturer’s specifications.

Crackmaster Supreme Uses

CrackMaster™ Supreme is designed to seal expansion joints, longitudinal and transverse cracks, joints between concrete and asphalt shoulders, and random cracks in both asphalt and concrete pavements. CrackMaster™ Supreme is relatively hard and has a high softening point, which makes it well suited for parking lots and driveways.

Mixing Procedures – Use material as supplied. Do not blend with other materials.

Crackmaster Supreme Coverage

Use the following as a guideline for estimating material requirements – (based upon pounds of material needed for 100 feet of cracks)

Crack depth – 3/8 inch – Crack Width – 3/8 inch – Pounds per 100 ft. = 6.2
Crack depth – 1/2 inch – Crack Width – 1/2 inch – Pounds per 100 ft. = 11.1
Crack depth – 3/4 inch – Crack Width – 3/4 inch – Pounds per 100 ft. = 25

The above coverage rates are only a guideline. Actual material usage may vary due to width of application and thickness of material above pavement surfaces.

Crackmaster Supreme Application Procedure

Apply heated CrackMaster™ Supreme using either a pump and wand system or a pour pot. For best results the sealant depth to width ratio should not exceed 2 to 1 (i.e. 2-inches deep to 1-inch wide). The cooled sealant height should not exceed 1/8″ above surrounding pavement. Using a sealing shoe or squeegee, band the material 2 to 3 inches wide over the crack.

Important – Protective apparel is recommended with application of CrackMaster™ Supreme. The extremely hot material will cause severe burns on contact with skin. OSHA Safety Regulations require workers to wear the following types of safety attire (see current OSHA/Safety Regulations for additional information): Hard hat with face shield; long sleeved shirt buttoned at the wrist; heat resistant gloves; long, cuffless pants; and safety toed work boots. Make certain all area around melter is clear of all debris and flammable materials. Avoid breathing vapors. Use with adequate ventilation.

Crackmaster Supreme Clean Up

Wash tools in water before material dries.

This is where the pros go go buy product. Compared to the big orange store, Kurpiel sells the professional products that are much better quality at a lower price. And Cassie and Jim are there to walk you through every step of your job and answer questions all the time. Its like night and day. If you want the best products at the best price as well as professional advice you would be lucky to buy here. It really is the secret of the pros. They helped me to choose the best products and save a driveway that truly needed at the least a $7000 overlay if not a complete redo. I spent a few hundred dollar in products and a few days in labor, probably twice over. But I truly saved the driveway and they helped me find the best pro to seal it since they are mostly commercial now.

This summer, I used Kurpiel paving to rip out my driveway and pour a new one. They did an excellent job from start to finish. Yesterday, I had an issue with a neighbor regarding my driveway. Jim runs his business in a manner that makes customer satisfaction a top priority. His crew performed a driveway resurface in which my old pavement was dug up and removed, and new pavement was laid. He requested that we let the gravel sit for a couple weeks prior to setting the new surface so he could observe how the subbase settled. I spoke to other pros who said that not all contractors take the time to do this, but James and his crew were doing the job the "right way" so my driveway would last. His men were always on time, respectful of my property, and left the site clean both times. Jim is a personable and professional gentleman, and I would absolutely recommend this business to others. This is the best contractor we have ever dealt with. We got many estimates and he was also the best price which is a plus! He tore out our old black top driveway regraded and put in a beautiful new driveway complete with Belgian block border abd border for our landscaping. The project had many bumps, due to no fault of theirs bc we were having other work done and kept having problems which needed to push the driveway repaving back months!
